on the opening day of The Cloud Computing Conference 2018, Alibaba laid out its development roadmap for frontier technologies. The roadmap included quantum computing and AI chips. Its  first self-developed AI inference chip —“AliNPU”  are designed for the application  in autonomous driving, smart cities and smart logistics.
