Polycarbonate sheet is transparent and may be the closest alternative to glass. This is the same material that most sunglasses and safety glasses are made from. It’s hard and tough, and won’t scratch easily. It’s a rigid material that doesn’t bend easily, and it’s lighter than glass. Polycarbonate is available in clear sheets for outdoor applications like greenhouses. It comes with a UV-resistant coating on one side that blocks most UV and protects the material from aging. It has a high thermal expansion (like many plastics), which can make mounting and sealing difficult. Proper mounting should allow for movement due to thermal expansion. This material is available at some hardware stores and is fairly expensive. Acrylic (Plexiglass) is available in clear sheets. It’s not nearly as strong or hard as polycarbonate, yet costs almost as much. It will scratch easily and yellows with time, reducing its performance for solar applications. It has similar thermal expansion characteristics to polycarbonate.

Thermal stability is another factor that is particularly important for biopharmaceuticals.  Biopharmaceuticals usually are only stable over a very limited temperature range. Excursions—temperature deviations outside the optimum storage conditions—can have a significant impact on stability. Testing the stability of such sensitive products in a range of temperatures needs to be carefully planned to take actual storage conditions into consideration.

The following presents systematic in vitro studies of each constituent subsystem of these devices, with an emphasis on the wireless, biofuel cell–sensing electronics. Field trials that include (i) continuous monitoring from devices interfaced to the skin for two consecutive days and (ii) collecting data during controlled exercise conditions three times each day, both with correlations to corresponding blood analytes, suggest potential for clinically relevant use of the technology in practical settings.

I was excited to see that the men’s foundation contained SPF 25 as well as hyaluronic acid to help keep the skin hydrated. More than likely, you've thrown a few apple slices in the same container as carrots. They both taste sweet, so what's the big deal? Well, Becky Kerkenbush, RD and media representative for the Wisconsin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics told INSIDER that some fruits produce ethylene gas (apples, apricots, avocado, bananas, cantaloupe, melons, kiwi, mango, nectarine, pears, plums, peaches, papaya) can cause early spoilage to vegetables (cucumber, broccoli, asparagus, lettuce, carrots, green beans, eggplant, summer squash). And don't store fruits/vegetable in airtight containers as that may speed up decay.
