1 Working principle
Below flash can describe how does the dry cabinet work。

Now,most of the dry cabinets adopst this kind of technique, but for accuracy control, this varies from different dry cabinets.

So how to judge which dry cabinet is more reliable as viewed from technique.
(1)
time span between opeing and closing drying unit(dehumidifying model)
Dry cabinet need a sealed space, this kind of metal processing is not difficult to reach, but when opeing the drying unit (dehumidifying model),it connect the outer, the longer it has been closed ,the more influence to the inner humidity of the dry cabinet, the less stability.

Then ,we can compare different dry cabinets’ humidity change during different periods when the drying unit (dehumidifying model) is closed.
(2)
The stability of humidity
The more stable inner humidity is,the quality is higher.
Usually, when we control the humidity to a extra low point, for example we have decreased the humidity to 5%RH or lower, many dry cabinets will easily get damp spasmodically, it is almost impossible to be avoided,we just can see which one manufacturers to deal with this issue with a better method.
(3)
balance of humidity
The more balanced the humidity is,the safer the storage for the valuables are.
Some manufacturers confused us that Brownian motion definitely exsits in the air to make sure the balance of humidity, but how long it can be be completed? And if half of a space of a cabinet has been capatured by the articles, the margin between the maximum and minimum humidity value inside of the cabinet can be more than 7%RH.
(4)
Dehumidification capacity
For ultra low dehumidifying dry cabinet, dehumidification larger capacity is always pursuited .
And once the cabinet is frequently used especially on the moist season, the dehumidification capacity will be decreased obviously, the dehumidification capacity is different during different season..
(5)
Affect to inner environment
The dehumidifying unit’s working principle drives the moisture out by heating, once the heat remains in the inner cabinet, the heat affect to inner temperature should not surpass 2℃.
(6)
Self-test of fault
Once the cabinet powered off or some other unexpected probles appeared suddenly, the self-test system should be automatically running to check it.

in emergency to preserve and keep food cold，freezer full of with dry ice can be used. as dry icehas a temperature of about 216 degrees, so when handling, some measurs need to be taken.
When temperature reachs ebelow zero F. Dry ice will naturally displace oxygen from food storage containers. Before this purging, all food should be placed in a warm location.

Frozen carbon dioxide is commonly known as dry ice. when compared to the gaseous form, In its frozen form it is highly compressed .Dry ice always gives off carbon dioxide while dissipating the surrounding oxygen. Dry ice is quite cold, so there shouldn’t be much water in the food; otherwise the food will shrink. Dry ice can be found at welding supply shops, meat packers and ice houses.

Working:
As dry ice slowly evaporates, the cool carbon dioxide fills the bottom of the bucket, displacing the warmer and lighter atmosphere. This light air exits from the top with time. It takes two to four hours for ice to convert into gas in an average-size bucket. The lid must be sealed once all the ice is converted to gas to keep warm air from re-entering the container. As it removes the oxygen, the food is protected from getting spoiled. If the lid is close prematurely, you will see a bulging of the lid, which may result in breaking of the bucket as well. If the lid is bulging, lift it slightly until the pressure is relieved, then seal it back.

Food Storing Process
Take about 2 oz. of dry ice cubes to store food in a small container. Put these pieces of dry ice in the bottom of a plastic bucket. Place a paper towel on the top to keep the dry ice away from the food. Place food inside the bucket and fill it to the brim, leaving 1/2 inch of space at the top. Seal the lid but leave one small side open so that the warm air can exit until dry ice dissipates. Close the lid once all the ice has converted into carbon dioxide. Check the bottom of the bucket after an hour by touching to know whether the ice is still there. The ice is still present if it feels icy cold; otherwise seal the lid. Recheck the bucket every 10 minutes once you get closer to the total estimated duration for dissipation.

If you need to keep freash dry food under normal temperature, you can also consider to buy a dry cabinet to store them, such as your dog food ,cakes, bread ,peanuts ans so on.

Yes,you may consided to buy your home or business insurance, but have you ever know some clues as to which kind of water damage will be covered under the policy?

More and more water damage have appeared, but when hearing about mold insurance claims getting denied, the homeowners and business owners often feel confused.

So what types of water damage is covered ?How to deal with water damage when it comes?

(1)

Which kind of Water Damage will Home Insurance policy cover?

Homeowners policies don’t cover damages from a flood, you would need to purchase flood insurance if you want to be specifically covered for water damage caused by a flood. Your home insurance policy would pay for damage from rain coming through a hole or a window if the hole had been caused by strong storm winds. But if you have a pipe leaking inside your house that created water damage over time, that wouldn’t be covered. It simply comes down to if your water damage was caused by a covered event such as a storm or if the water damage happened because you failed to keep your house repaired which would not be covered. If you are unsure as to what kind of water damage is covered, carefully read through your home insurance policy or call your the company.

(2)

Water damage or moisture damage:

Let us know the related damage caused by water, moisture

Water Damage Caused By a Storm

When there is a storm, if water gets into your home, you need to dry up all the wet areas and set up air circulation to help everything dry. Water can come into your house or place of business from roof damage, or damaged gutters, or from a leaking basement. To prevent additional damage, cover all areas with a tarp. By drying, covering and dehumidifying all wet areas you can attempt to minimize the chance that mold will form from the water damage. Flooding can happen if a storm causes a river level to rise. Of course, always contact your insurance agent as soon as possible so that you can begin the homeowners insurance or business insurance policy claims process.

Moisture Damage Over a Period of Time

If you find water or moisture damage that appears to be from a leakage existing for a period of time, mold might have developed and the chances your claim will be covered are very slim. In this situation, trying to cleanup the mold now will spread the mold spores and cause more property damage and increased health risks. Mold is extremely dangerous to your health and it is crucial that you have a professional restoration expert come to cleanup the damage. Obvious damage from flooding can be cleaned up but mold growth isn’t always apparent. Moisture behind drywall can be detected using specialized equipment from a certified disaster restoration contractor. Typically insurance policies have a cap or limit of what the insurance company is willing to pay towards mold removal. Prepare to cover at least some of the clean up expense out of your pocket, that means shopping around on search engines to select a competent disaster restoration company in your area. Contact your home insurance company to check if any of the damage is covered with your policy and call a professional disaster restoration company immediately.

(3)

So ,how to avoid Mold?

Avoid Mold: Cleaning Up After a Disaster

It is very important you take steps to repair your water damage because if you let the damage linger it could cause further damage as well as health risks. Don’t ignore obvious signs of a water problem in your house! You need to immediately try to find any leaks and repair them from the source. When you let water leak in your house, moisture builds up and mold will grow. Mold will eat through the building’s structure and gradually cause health problems that could become serious. Mold exposure causes a wide variety of health effects such as coughs, nosebleeds, runny noses, sinusitis and congestion and even more serious upper respiratory problems such as bronchitis and asthma. Many insurance companies don’t cover mold damage but it might be covered if it was caused by a covered peril such as a storm. As soon as you discover any water damage, report it to your insurance agent before it gets any worse.

Call your local insurance agent for inquirying more information about certified water damage restoration contractor. Be forewarned, sets a cap or limit of how much the policy will cover typically under a home or business insurance policy when mold damage is suspected, you may foot at least some of the bill out of your pocket

Old,old buildings ever were made of squidgy materials soaked up damp and condensation from the atmosphere and exuded it out again, when encountered rain and storms. Low tech solutions were used in building,so,this kind of palce makes us feel reather uncomfortable.

In farmhouses, a boarded timber dado is commonly used, with ventilation holes (or just gaps in the boards),just to allow air circulation and natural drying.

In ancient castles, drapes and tapestries hid any damp patches percolating through the massive stonework. Georgian houses had hessian stretched over battens, covered with plaster or, if you had serious amounts of money, timber panelling from top to bottom. The ground floors of old buildings are most often quarry tiles or stone, laid on chalk or rammed earth, and as long as the site was reasonably well drained, the damp would evaporate from a vast floor area without causing anyone too many problems.

Later on, a suspended timber floor was even better; a good draught underneath it kept it from going rotten and the joist ends were sat on pieces of slate, acting as a physical barrier to any damp from high soil levels or water penetration through the base of the walls.

Modern buildings used a similar technology, a physical damp proof course (DPC) made of slate, engineering brick or tarred material. The damp course was taken underneath the floor as well, effectively creating a tank to stop any water.

So far, so good.

Now children, we come to that knotty old problem of refurbishing old buildings. As we know, many of them did not have a DPC and the whole building breathed naturally. Enter Mr Mortage Surveyor and his anxious client, Mr DIY Bodgit, who likes the pretty house but wants it to behave exactly like the Barret Home he has just left – no moisture anywhere, no, not ever. Mr Mortgage Surveyor throws up his hands when his damp meter goes off the scale. ‘won’t lend the money’ he says, ‘unless you do something about the damp’.

Mr Bodgit decides to do a full refurb. Up come the quarry tiles, in goes a concrete floor with a polythene DPC. Along comes Mr Damp Surveyor, whose main purpose in life is to sell DPCs but calls himself an expert in damp problems. He attempts to inject a chemical DPC into a flint rubble wall. All seems well. Mr Bodget carries on with his ignorant refurb work and ends up with a house he likes, and rather touchingly tells friends ‘we kept everything in character!’

Five years later, and what is happening to the walls? Odd fluffy white stuff is appearing on the new gypsum plaster he coated all the old lime render with and some of it is falling off. Mr Damp Surveyor’s firm has long gone, and so has his insurance policy. A new damp proofer appears, and tries the same thing. Guess what? It fails, the damp is worse than ever!

What has actually happened?

The flint rubble wall never had a DPC. The quarry tiles were laid straight onto the earth. The exterior ground levels were low. The rainwater drainage was cast iron and working well.

Mr Bodgit installed an impermeable ground floor. The moisture could not dry through the floor, it was forced up into the walls. A wet wall is cold, so condensation forms on the surface, staining the plaster.

The new patio was of concrete flags, built right up against the old walls, raising the ground level and trapping water beneath it. Of course, the damp penetrated through the wall and ended up inside.

The cast iron gutters were replaced with cheap plastic, poorly jointed where it adjoined the old cast iron system at ground level. More water, concentrated in a small area, penetrates the wall.

Chemical DPCs are ineffective in flint or many types of stone or rubble walls. They do not work. Never mind what the salesmen tell you. They. Do. Not. Work. It is often the hard plaster put on the interior that keeps the damp out for a while, but how many buildings have you seen with a tide mark at the junction with the old and new plaster? Yep – that is penetrating damp and is nothing to do with the DPC.

So the damp gets into the wall and as it dries into the nice, centrally heated interior, leaves salt deposits from the masonry, (that fluffy white stuff) and damages the plaster.

Notice I have not mentioned rising damp once. There is no such thing. The causes of damp in cases like these are high ground levels, poor drainage, condensation and ignorant DIY.

Damp can occur in any building type and is often the result of failing to keep up with house maintenance. The only way to treat damp is to treat the causes of the damp.

A damp-proof course (often abbreviated to DPC) is a horizontal barrier in a wall designed to prevent moisture rising through the structure by capillary action – a phenomenon known as rising damp.

For many photographers who live in humid countries or districts especially southeastern asia, easter asia, brazil, south Africa etc.Sufficient moisture often promote the growth of molds. When permeantel damage to the coating or glass has left on lens, then you decide to clean off the molds, but it is too late, then maybe you may have to confirm that photography equipments need suistanble maintance.

Ideal relative humidity to keep camera and lenses is somewhere between 30 to 50%, 40% being the middle of that range and is probably best. Above 60% is where most mold will grow. Too dry may not be good too, as some type of mold actually grow in very dry humidity (less than 20%).

You can also use a dehumidifier. The problem with these is that you will need to constant keep emptying the water tank. When the tank is full and you don’t empty the tank, it would stop working.

There are a few ways to keep the humidity down. You can keep the air-conditioner on. Despite what some people claim that air-conditioner cannot keep relative humidity below 60%, in my experience, air-conditioner can easily maintain a relative humidity of between 40-50% in a room so long as the air-conditioner is not under-power for the room. The disadvantage of using an air-conditioner to keep a room dry is that it uses a lot of electricity and not cost effective and environmentally friendly as a method to keep humidity down. It is also not a good method to use when the temperate is low, but the humidity is high.

Store cameras, lenses or other moisture sensitive devices in a dry cabinet is a recommeded way,When we search dry cabinet, too many brands have appeared in our eyesight,in fact, all the so called dry cabinet products are just OEM models, that’s why they seems like a same design. So,choosing a time-honored brand may rest assured.

We use high molecular absorption material and shape memorial alloy system to dehumidify, this fine chemical desiccant saves electricity & resources without consumables. When the desiccant becomes saturated with moisture, the moisture will be dispelled automatically in the form of water molecucar. An air circulation fan inside the dry unit quickens this moisture absorption process. The desiccant can be used again to absord moisture. It is recycled again and again like this way, no maintainance, no consumption, no mechanical motor. It operates silently. It always maintains normal ambient temperature & low humidity, unlike a heated cabinet or dehumidifier, so items are safeguard from deformation due to heat effect.
The drying unit has 2 working status: exhaust moisture status, absorbtion moisture status, these two stages operate fully automatically, no any manual intervention.

There are two working stage

1. Absorption Stage:
The valves are opened inwards and closed outwards in order to absorb moisture inside the Auto DryBox to the desiccants in the Dry Unit.

2. Exhaustion Stage:
The valves are opened outwards and closed inwards in order to exhaust moisture out of the Auto DryBox from saturated desiccants in the Dry Unit.

Both the stages will cycle automatically. The whole process is controlled by Shape Memory Alloy & an I.C. Timer.

User may set a fixed-point humidity according to his demand. When the humidity is above the setting value the dehumidification system start working and reach the setting value within short time; when the humidity is lower than setting value the dehumidification system stop working automatically .

Function:
1. Dehumidification
2. Anti-mildew
3. Anti-oxidation
4. Anti-corrosion
5. Anti-aging, anti-fading
6. Dust prevention
Features:
1. Noiseless operation, no condensation dripping.
2. Free maintenance
3. No consuming parts required
4. Power saving, Environmental-friendly.

Applied in medicine storage

Along with the rapid developing, the level of people’s daily life are also increasing.More and more healthy medicine appear, and aged tendency of population is also sharpening. With the continuous increasing of percentages of old people, homeused meidicine has been a indispensable part of life. Many family even has stroed a considerable amount of medicine products.

As the improper storage method and unsuitable storage devices, many medicine & health products have gone discolored, deteriorated, turned into soft without any validation. Not only it is a waste of mdecine and health products, but also may damage the people’s life.

As a morden storage product ,dry cabinet can provide security for our people.

There are too many kinds of medicine products, the two major types are oral and external separately according to the form of the drug.

The oral drugs include: tablet, capsule, oral liquid

The external medicine includes:spray, ointment, lotion, patch. And have you ever viewed the details of the storage instructiong about them, some just throw them into the drawers, some even keep them in the refrigerator. When you have carefully read the storage instruction of these drugs, it is very common that a shady , cool, dry, dark environment with a low temperature. So,the previous two simply storage methods is not proper. To keep the safety of medicine drugs, store them as per instruction manual requests.

As the professional manufacturer of dry cabinet, below advantages of storing medicine products are listed.

(1)cooler and more shaddy,3~5 ℃lower than indoor temperature

(2)avoiding light conservancy

(3)dry. Dry cabinet can control humidity and keep humidity stable ,.for example ,we can fix the humidity into the suitable range(40%–45%RH).

Using dry cabinets, these despaired phenomenons would not happen.

(1) Capsule changed soft or deformed.

(2) Sugar coated pill turned into black and and deteriorated.

(3) Being melted by moisture of granular, tablets

(4) Powder medicine lumped

(5) Pills became mildewed

In one word, a safe storage assembled with the function of mothproof, anti moisture is the best choice.
